KITAKATA is renowned as a "town of kura" (traditional storehouses).
Our villa has a 150-year-old Kura, which was restored and remodled in 2001,
along with the rest of the property.
The villa's main feature is a beautiful moss garden that evokes a sense of serenity.
The villa is surrounded by a garden and looks as if it is in the woods.
However, it is conveniently located in town, with everything within your reach.
Across from the villa, there is a popular ramen shop.
2 min walk to a large supermarket, dollar store, and convenience stores,
5-minute drive to home improvement centers and other stores

We are located in Kitakata City, Fukushima Prefecture.
3.5 hrs-ish by car from Tokyo
4 hrs by bullet train and local train
(2 transfers at Kooriyama Station and Aizu-Wakamatsu Station)
The nearest station is Kitakata.
The Tohoku expressway has a very wide road and hardly ever has traffic, so you can drive at ease; however, if you are not used to driving long distances in Japan, I would recommend using the bullet train from Tokyo to Kooriyama station (only a 1 hr 15 min ride).
Then hire a car at Kooriyama Station; from there it's a 1-hour drive.
We have a car parking space inside the gate in our villa.
You don't drive? Don't worry, the villa is located in a convenient location; restaurants, grocery stores, and shops are within walking distance.
