How We Got Here

It began with a 100-year-old Japanese house in Minami Aoyama, in the heart of Tokyo.

Opening the gate and stepping inside the courtyard, one senses that time passes in a more relaxed manner than the rest of the city. The architecture is harmonized with the trees and flowers that shift in colors and scents throughout the four seasons. Many who visited this house have called it a place of SANCTUARY in the city.

Our designer, Ichiyo Soekawa, grew up in this house. It shaped how she sees and feels space, and that sensibility runs through everything she designs.

She is an expert in creating and providing spaces filled with peace.
